day five: favorite episode?

this definitely has to be attempting revenge from chapter black saga. i feel like there’s so much emotion in this episode. hiei, kurama, and kuwabara’s power growing is awesome and yet heartbreaking at the same time. and of course, who isn’t sad at the thought of a dead yusuke?

day four: favorite story arc?

i really can’t choose between the two. really it’s another case of what i loved as a kid and what i love now. the dark tournament was the most genius thing in the world to me when i was growing up. i love the large amount of opponents and how the relationships between team urameshi grew stronger. that being said, i didn’t watch the chapter black saga and the last season until i was older, say sixteen or seventeen. i realized that i really love the chapter black saga just as much as the demon tournament arc. i love the darker feel of this arc and the villians are much spookier to me.

hands down, karasu is definitely my favorite villian. i love how creepy he is, love his mask, and love his fighting style. however, i hate him as a blond.

day one: favorite character?

sorry, but i really can’t narrow it don’t to just two with this one. when i was little and i would watch this show, i loved kurama. one of my first crushes ever, haha. i love how intelligent, sarcastic and calculating he can be. not to mention his potential for ruthlessness. but as i rewatched yu yu as i got older, i grew to love hiei. i love how hiei isolates himself from those around him, how dry and dark he is, and his past makes him endearing to me. so there you go day one, my favorite characters.

you know, i don’t know why people call yu yu hakusho sexist when there are plenty of powerful women on the show. i guess people tend to forget them, so i’ll remind you;

genkai: genkai is extremely power, hell, she made it to the end of the dark tournament, only to die before the final battle. only tuguro was stronger than her, and at the time yusuke was the only one strong enough to defeat him. so basically she has to be at least at a high b class level, if not lower a class.

mukuro: mukuro, if still in her enraged state, is the strongest demon in demon world second only to raizen when he still fed on humans. i think i’ll leave it at that.

natsume: a higher s class apparition who was defeated by mukuro far into the first demon world tournament.

kokou: it says on yu yu wiki that kokou’s physical strength is almost parallel to mukuro, yomi, and yusuke. she’s also a higher s class demon.

so.. yeah.
